...the spirit behind this blog. Born and raised in San Diego, I discovered my passion for tequila during a life-changing trip to Jalisco in 2015. Since then, my journey has taken me from the lush fields of blue agave to some of the most esteemed distilleries in Mexico.
MY STORY
It all started with a visit to a small, family-owned distillery in the heart of Jalisco, where I first witnessed the intricate process of tequila making. This experience opened my eyes to the rich culture and meticulous craft behind every bottle of tequila. Driven by a desire to delve deeper, I began researching as much as I could, visiting distilleries, attending tastings, and learning everything I could about this fascinating spirit. Compelled to share my experiences and the stories I've collected along the way, I created Best Joven.
